Hi Team!
My apologies for being so quiet for the last couple of weeks.
As you know, I was in the lower mainland of BC to see Olivia perform at UBC Opera. After that, I had to head back to Calgary to do a little work with Calgary Opera Mcphee Young Artist Program and then I started to make my way across Canada to visit Evelyn in Montreal – where I’m sitting writing this now! After our visit, I will be heading to New Brunswick to spend Christmas with my parents.
So, there’s been a lot of driving and sleeping and not much else, except for some new content that I’ve been talking to you about.
I’ve uploaded the proof of concept for the “between the trailheads” content I’ve been chatting with you about all summer. I went back-and-forth regarding wide screen and longer versus vertical and shorter and settled on the vertical and shorter for one main reason: it’s a lot quicker to shoot content and upload because the time limit is three minutes. So it’s something I can do from the road when I see something cool and quickly upload it. Doing me quickly, also allows me to put the task aside and not create another entire editing process that takes up so much time.
For that reason, I’m thinking this will just be something I do like other verticals and short content and just upload them as they come. Are you all OK with that? Most short videos and stuff like that are currently posted as they are ready so this wouldn’t be any different. But I would love your thoughts on that.
I will leave it there for now to keep it brief, but will share that I do have a couple of videos left to drop which will come with early access – including the 2025 wrapup and the frequently asked questions video. The 2025 one will definitely be out in December and I’m hoping that the other one will be as well once I get settled in New Brunswick and can finish it up!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for taking a peek at this short video!
Stuart
