A DECADE OF HOWE’S THE HIKE?
Howe’s The Hike began in 2016 with a family trip to a fishing spot I had loved as a child.
Ten years later, the channel has grown into a continuing record of multi-day backcountry travel across the Canadian Rockies and beyond.
The 2026 anniversary season celebrates that journey with ten commemorative long-distance expeditions. Each one will carry forward the same approach that has shaped Howe’s The Hike from the beginning: thoughtful preparation, honest decisions and a willingness to let the conditions determine how the story unfolds.
Their first major backpacking trip in the Rocky Mountains began as a birthday wish for Dad and became part of the story Howe’s The Hike? has shared ever since.
